Terms & Conditions

Clear, straightforward information for planning and booking with Sahara Explore.

Last updated: August 2026

Clear information before you decide.

These conditions explain how Sahara Explore bookings and tailor-made travel arrangements work. Your written itinerary and confirmation remain the definitive record of the services, price and booking details agreed with you.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to tours, transfers and other travel services booked with Sahara Explore. By paying the stated deposit, the lead traveller confirms acceptance of these terms on behalf of everyone included in the booking.

2. Making a booking

A booking is confirmed only after we receive the required deposit and send written confirmation. Until then, prices and availability may change. Please check every name, date and service in your confirmation and tell us promptly if anything is incorrect.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are normally quoted per person in euros and are based on the stated group size. If the group size changes, the per-person price may also change. A deposit of 20–30% is normally required; the exact amount and balance arrangements will be stated in writing. Unless agreed otherwise, the balance is paid on arrival in Morocco before the tour begins.

4. What is included

Your confirmed itinerary is the definitive list of inclusions and exclusions. Anything not listed as included is excluded. Common exclusions include international flights, travel insurance, visas, monument entrance fees, drinks, tips and personal expenses.

5. Changes requested by you

Tell us as early as possible if you need to change dates, travellers or services. We will make reasonable efforts to help, subject to availability. Any unrecoverable supplier charge created by the change will be explained and passed on at cost.

6. Changes made by us

Weather, road closures, sandstorms, political events, supplier disruption or safety concerns may require an itinerary change. We will offer an equivalent or better alternative where reasonably possible. During an active trip, safety decisions made by the guide are final.

7. Cancellation

The notice periods, charges, refunds, date changes and cancellation-by-us terms are explained in the Booking & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Travel insurance

Travel insurance is recommended. When choosing a policy, consider cover for medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation, interruption and every activity in the confirmed itinerary, including camel riding, quad biking or trekking at altitude where applicable.

9. Traveller responsibilities

Travellers are responsible for valid passports and visas, arriving at agreed times, declaring relevant medical or mobility needs before travel, and following reasonable safety instructions. Serious misconduct that endangers or unreasonably disturbs others may result in removal from the trip without a refund.

10. Health and fitness

Some journeys include soft-sand walking, camel riding, long drives and travel on unpaved roads. Tell us before booking about any condition that may affect participation so we can adapt the plan where possible or advise honestly when an activity is unsuitable.

11. Responsibility for services

We accept responsibility for services we provide directly and will exercise reasonable skill and care. We are not responsible for loss or disruption caused by events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural events, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics or unrelated third parties.

12. Photography

We may occasionally take photographs during a journey for Sahara Explore communications. Tell your guide if you do not wish to appear; we will respect that choice.

13. Complaints

Tell your guide or our active-trip support team immediately if something is wrong so we can try to resolve it during the journey. If it remains unresolved, email hello@saharaexplore.com with the relevant details within 28 days after your return.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved directly will be subject to the competent courts in Marrakech, Morocco.
