Who we are
Sahara Explore is a Moroccan tour operator based in Marrakech, Morocco. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you contact us or book a tour, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Contact details — name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, and country of residence.
- Travel details — dates, group size, tour preferences, budget range and any special requirements you tell us about.
- Health and dietary information — only where you volunteer it so that we can cater safely for you.
- Booking records — itineraries, invoices and payment confirmations. We do not store full card numbers.
- Website usage data — anonymous analytics about which pages are visited.
Why we collect it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, prepare an itinerary and quotation, deliver the tour you have booked, arrange accommodation and transport with our partners, and meet our legal and accounting obligations in Morocco.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, only with the suppliers delivering your trip — accommodation providers, camp staff, drivers and guides. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after two years. Booking records are retained for the period required by Moroccan tax and accounting law, currently ten years.
Your rights
You may ask us to provide a copy of the data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your data where we are not legally required to keep it, or stop sending you marketing messages. Email hello@saharaexplore.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
This website uses essential cookies required for it to function, and anonymous analytics cookies that help us understand which pages are useful. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Security
Enquiry data is held in access-controlled systems and transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
