Agadir is a modern Atlantic city rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, with an airport, broad beach zone and resort infrastructure. Taroudant is an inland walled city whose markets and daily rhythm feel more locally focused.
The drive between them crosses a changing plain associated with agriculture and argan landscapes. It should not be reduced to a compulsory cooperative stop: visits are worthwhile when the organization, maker involvement and product origin can be explained transparently.
Together they work for winter sun, a gentle arrival or final stay, and longer routes toward Essaouira, Taliouine, the Anti-Atlas or the southern desert corridor. The coast and inland city have different temperatures, access and reasons to stay, so they need separate planning.

Explore walls, gates and souks without presenting the city as a miniature Marrakech. Its value lies in a smaller scale, active local commerce and a slower base for the Souss region.

Ask who runs the cooperative, where kernels come from, who performs the work and how sales benefit members. Avoid assuming that every roadside demonstration represents the same model.
Continue through the southwest
Link Essaouira along the Atlantic, Taliouine for the inland road, or Anti-Atlas landscapes on a longer journey. A direct leap to the Sahara requires staged travel, not a short excursion.
