4-day Marrakech to Merzouga tour
Cross the High Atlas to Aït Ben Haddou, Dades and Todra, then spend time around the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga.
The itinerary
Your route, day by day
DAY 1Marrakech to Dades Valley
Cross the High Atlas from Marrakech and descend toward the Ounila and Ouarzazate region. Visit Aït Ben Haddou with time to walk through the ksar, then continue east after lunch. Travel through Skoura and the Valley of Roses corridor toward the Dades Valley.
DAY 2Dades Valley to Merzouga
Leave the Dades area and travel toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge, where time is reserved for a short walk if conditions suit the group. Continue through the eastern pre-Saharan corridor for lunch, then travel via the Erfoud and Rissani area. Reach Merzouga at the edge of Erg Chebbi and settle into the confirmed accommodation or prepare for the camp transfer.
DAY 3Erg Chebbi and Merzouga desert day
Begin with sunrise if desired, then return for breakfast. Rest during the warmest hours and take lunch according to the confirmed program. Prepare for the camel ride or camp transfer at the time selected for temperature and sunset.
DAY 4Merzouga to Ouarzazate/Marrakech
Leave Merzouga after breakfast and begin the long westbound return across the pre-Saharan road network. Pause for lunch en route and continue through the southern valleys toward Ouarzazate. Cross the High Atlas toward Marrakech only when the confirmed schedule supports it; otherwise the itinerary should end with an intermediate overnight.
The return from Merzouga is a long driving day. Ask us to confirm your final drop-off and add an overnight if you prefer to split the journey.
