Days one and two carry you east through Aït Ben Haddou, the Dades and the Todra, each worth stopping for and each adding to the driving. Day three is yours in the desert. The trade is day four: the longest road day of the route, nine to ten hours from Merzouga to Marrakech in one go. Cross the High Atlas from Marrakech and descend toward the Ounila and Ouarzazate region.
Visit Aït Ben Haddou with time to walk through the ksar, then continue east after lunch.
Travel through Skoura and the Valley of Roses corridor toward the Dades Valley.
Moving from the High Atlas to the fortified architecture and folded rock landscapes of the southern valleys.

Erg Chebbi and Merzouga desert day
Begin with sunrise if desired, then return for breakfast. The morning can include a village, palm-grove or landscape visit when agreed for the route.
Rest during the warmest hours and take lunch according to the confirmed program.
Prepare for the camel ride or camp transfer at the time selected for temperature and sunset. Walking beside the caravan is possible when more comfortable.
A complete day at Erg Chebbi that avoids reducing Merzouga to a late arrival and early departure.
Dinner and overnight at the named camp, with entertainment only where the camp confirms it.
