Your route, day by day
DAY 1Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival timing is matched to the family’s flight or train; no activity is fixed before the confirmed arrival window. Private transfer to the named accommodation and time for food, rest and settling in. Take a short orientation walk only if energy allows, keeping the first day deliberately light.
DAY 2Marrakech gardens and medina
Begin with an outdoor garden or open-space visit suited to the season and confirmed tickets. Pause for lunch and a rest away from the busiest medina hours. Explore a manageable part of the medina with a private guide, focusing on craft, food and daily life rather than a long monument checklist.
DAY 3Marrakech to Ouarzazate
Leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas with extra stops for comfort and motion sickness where needed. Visit Aït Ben Haddou at a family-appropriate pace, avoiding the steepest sections when unsuitable. Continue the short remaining distance to the Ouarzazate area and check in before evening.
DAY 4Ouarzazate to Agdz to Draa Valley to M’hamid
Travel toward Agdz and enter the palm-lined Draa Valley. Stop for lunch and a short oasis walk, keeping children away from irrigation edges unless closely supervised. Continue through Zagora to M’hamid and settle before sunset.
DAY 5M’hamid to family desert camp
Keep the morning slow and prepare only the items needed for camp. Transfer toward the selected desert setting by the method stated in the proposal. Take a shorter camel ride suited to the children’s age and comfort, with the option to walk or use the vehicle instead.
DAY 6Desert morning to Ouarzazate-area rest stop
Have breakfast and leave the desert without rushing immediately after sunrise. Return north through the Draa corridor with lunch and movement breaks. Reach a stay with space to rest; pool access is promised only when the named property confirms it for the season.
DAY 7Ouarzazate area to High Atlas village region
Travel toward the Atlas using the route confirmed for weather and road access. Lunch near the selected valley or village and meet the local host or guide. Take a short village or valley walk adapted to the youngest traveller and current conditions.
DAY 8Atlas/Marrakech to Essaouira
Travel west toward the Atlantic, stopping as needed rather than adding compulsory roadside visits. Arrive in Essaouira, have lunch and settle into the named accommodation. Take a gentle orientation walk around the harbour, ramparts or wide beach according to wind and family energy.
DAY 9Essaouira family day
Choose beach time, harbour observation or a short medina activity according to weather. Lunch and rest, leaving room for children to set the pace. Continue with an optional hands-on activity only when age, availability and price are confirmed.
DAY 10Essaouira to Marrakech
Enjoy an unhurried breakfast before the private return to Marrakech. Stop en route when needed for lunch or children’s comfort. Arrive at the agreed Marrakech accommodation, airport or station according to the confirmed onward plan.

What ages is this for?
The route is redesigned for the actual ages; a toddler and a teenager need different pacing.
Are car seats provided?
They must be requested with child age and size, then confirmed for the assigned vehicle.
Can we skip the camel ride?
Yes. Sand play, a short walk or direct vehicle access can replace it where the camp arrangement allows.
