Booking & Cancellation Policy

How booking, deposits, balances and changes work when you travel with us.

Last updated: 8 August 2026

How booking works

  1. Enquiry. You send us your dates, group size and what you would like to see. There is no charge and no obligation.
  2. Itinerary and quote. Within 24 hours we send a private itinerary with an itemised price.
  3. Revisions. We rewrite it as many times as you need until it fits.
  4. Deposit. A deposit of 20–30% confirms your dates and secures accommodation.
  5. Balance. Paid on arrival in Morocco, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Deposits

The deposit is what we use to secure your camps, hotels and vehicles, most of which require payment in advance. It is generally 20% for tours booked more than 60 days ahead and 30% for shorter notice or peak dates. Deposits are non-refundable except as set out below.

Paying the balance

The balance is normally paid in cash on arrival, in euros or dirhams, before the tour begins. Bank transfer and card payment can be arranged in advance if you prefer not to travel with cash.

Cancellation by you

Please cancel in writing. Where we are able to recover costs from suppliers, we will pass those savings back to you — we do not keep money we have not spent.

Cancellation by us

We cancel only where we must — typically for safety. If we cancel for any reason other than force majeure, you receive a full refund including your deposit, or the option to move your dates at no cost. Where cancellation results from events outside our control, we refund everything we are able to recover from suppliers.

Changing your dates

Date changes requested more than 30 days before departure are free, subject to availability. Inside 30 days we will move your booking where we can, but supplier charges may apply and will be passed on at cost.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is required for every traveller. It must cover medical treatment and repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, and the specific activities on your itinerary. Many standard policies exclude camel riding, quad biking and trekking above 3,000 metres — check yours.

Itinerary changes during your trip

Weather, road conditions and sandstorms occasionally force a change of plan. Your guide will always offer the closest equivalent alternative. Safety decisions rest with your guide and are final. Where a change reduces the cost of the trip, we refund the difference.

Unused services

No refund is available for services you choose not to use once the tour has begun — for example skipping a camel trek or leaving early.
