Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you book and travel with Sahara Explore.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to every tour, transfer and service booked with Sahara Explore, a tour operator registered in Marrakech, Morocco. By paying a deposit you confirm that you have read and accepted them on behalf of everyone in your party.
2. Making a booking
A booking is confirmed once we have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation. Until then, prices and availability are subject to change. It is your responsibility to check that the names, dates and details on your confirmation are correct.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted per person in euros and are based on the group size stated at the time of quotation. If your group size changes, the price per person may change. A deposit of 20–30% is payable to confirm; the balance is due on arrival in Morocco unless agreed otherwise in writing.
4. What is included
Each itinerary lists its inclusions and exclusions in full. Anything not listed as included is excluded — in particular international flights, travel insurance, visa costs, monument entrance fees, drinks and personal expenses.
5. Changes by you
Tell us as early as possible if you need to change dates or details. We will do everything we reasonably can to accommodate you, but changes may incur costs charged by accommodation providers or other suppliers, which we will pass on at cost.
6. Changes by us
Occasionally we must alter an itinerary — for weather, road closures, sandstorms, political events or safety concerns. Where this happens we will provide an equivalent or better alternative wherever possible. Safety decisions made by your guide are final.
7. Cancellation
Cancellation terms are set out in full in our Booking Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us. Your policy must cover medical treatment, repatriation, cancellation and the activities on your itinerary, including camel riding, quad biking and trekking at altitude where applicable.
9. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for holding a valid passport and any required visa, for arriving at agreed times, for declaring relevant medical conditions before travel, and for behaving in a way that does not endanger or unreasonably disturb others. We may end a tour without refund in cases of serious misconduct.
10. Health and fitness
Some itineraries involve walking on soft sand, riding camels and travelling long distances on unpaved roads. You must tell us at the time of booking about any condition that could affect your participation so we can adapt the trip or advise honestly against it.
11. Liability
We accept responsibility for the services we provide directly, exercised with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for loss or damage caused by events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, natural events, civil unrest, strikes, epidemics or the actions of third parties not contracted by us.
12. Photography
We may photograph tours for our own marketing. Tell your guide if you would prefer not to appear, and we will respect that without question.
13. Complaints
If something is wrong, tell your guide immediately so we can put it right while you are still with us. If it remains unresolved, write to hello@saharaexplore.com within 28 days of your return.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law, and the courts of Marrakech have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
